Warm love

As we huddle together,
heated by the fire in our hearts,
warmth spreading through our intertwined fingers
reaching to our sock covered toes,
we sit and we think,
we sing and we dance,
we laugh, and we love.

Though neither of us know how long we will last,
We both know how far we would go
if it meant the flame stay ablaze,
the ashes stay smouldering,
and the spark stay lit in our hearts.
